It's "The Beverly Hillbillies" meets "Zombieland"
This series follows failed career criminal Darryl Riley, as he watches the start of the zombie apocalypse from his television in his family's double wide trailer in the high deserts of California. Witnessing wealthy celebrities vacating their luxurious homes, Darryl...with his reluctant family in tow, moves from a trailer park in Tehachapi to a multi-million-dollar vacant mansion in Beverly Hills. Darryl's story is narrated by NFL Quarterback Eli Manning, the author of the motivational book "Manning up" that Darryl is currently reading.
On this journey, we meet Darryl's cynical and sharp-tongued wife, Cindy, who cannot wait for Darryl to go back to prison so she can leave him for good. We met Darryl's daughter, Cherry Rae, who is as wild as she is beautiful and we meet Darryl's son, Bud, who is very smart, reliable and capable, but he wrestles with an internal conflict.
When they find a suitable mansion for their hostile takeover, they meet their disaffected neighbor, an aging, alcoholic soap actress and her extremely resourceful Latina maid.
Darryl takes the teachings of Eli Manning's book to heart and navigates this new normal with ease because a zombie apocalypse might be a challenge to some people, but Darryl has always had a hard life. He has spent his life trying to turning adversity into opportunity. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.
